Issues and Goals...

I have been asked by a number of community leaders to run for the Lee’s Summit City Council position for District 3. They, like I, recognize that as we enter a new era in Lee’s Summit we need a City Council with the ability to convene not just local but regional stakeholders to resolve issues that affect Lee’s Summit as well as the entire metropolitan Kansas City area.

If you will go through this site, you will see that over four decades of community leadership in public, private, educational and not for profit sectors has prepared me for this challenge. Also listed are just a few of my fellow community leaders that are supporting my campaign for City Council.

Lee’s Summit is at a crossroads! We have witnessed tremendous growth and are soon to exceed over 100,000 residents. It is time to elect a City Council prepared to take the lead in developing Lee’s Summit into a compelling community. A community of diversity, sustainability, culture, affordability, convenience, healthcare, recreation, sports, security, entertainment and hospitality. This is a big job and we need people on the Council who have “been there, done that”. I have, and I am eager to take on this challenge.
