Helping to Make Blue Springs...

I am not a politician, but a concerned Blue Springs Citizen that strongly feels our City is missing its potential as a quality city of choice in many ways.  My vision is a city image equal to our school system—one of the best in Missouri.  Why not?  We need stronger committed leadership with a vision.

Due to the growth in residential and retail development, the future of Blue Springs is extremely dependent on City leadership with a vision.  This vision should focus on quality growth that builds the City’s positive image.  We need Council members that build consensus representing the residents and not special interests.  We need to protect your assets by improving property values and reducing the sales tax drain now going to adjacent cities.  It is important that you support and elect candidates who will protect your interests

For many years, I have been involved in our community in a variety of ways, including as volunteer, member and leader of two citizen vision projects, “Out of the Blue-into the Future”, and most recently “Renew the Blue”.  This experience has given me an opportunity to understand the views, needs and priorities of our residents.  My direct city experience includes member of the Capital Improvement Committee and city representative on the Jackson County Board of Equalization.  In addition, I have been involved in the Blue Springs Schools Citizens Advisory, Budget and Safety committees; and Blue Springs Episcopal Church.

By just visiting this website, you are involved in the process. I appreciate your willingness to help me in making Blue Springs a better place to live and raise a family – the city of choice.  Please call me at (816) 517-6822 if you have any questions, or would like to discuss issues facing our City.
